Colourfulblinds Our Journey to Date….
I like to take this opportunity to introduce my company and myself, my name is Chan and I am the founder of Colourfulblinds
2006 – looking back over 17 years in trading and I have always remembered my very first years of trading where I sue to run the business from my home address with the aim of building my customer base. It was hard work but thoroughly enjoyed learning and understanding what my customers wanted in terms of their blinds requirements, the product & quality, level of service & delivery within a reasonable time at a competitive pricing. During my new start up period a lot of the blinds we installed were supplied by our network of UK based manufacturers.
2010 – As I continued to successfully build my portfolio of clients, my home was becoming too small for storing all the blinds and equipment and decided to move into my first office space on Barkby Road Leicester, I was also thinking about the next move and how I could serve my customers better by starting to manufacture blinds myself and that’s when Colourfulblinds purchased its first vertical blind louver cutting machine, stitching machine and vertical head rail assembly station allowing Colourfulblinds to supply, manufacture and install a complete made to measure vertical blind to the highest quality from start to finish, and manufacture as much as possible in the UK.
2011 – As our customer base continued to grow and wanting to further encourage manufacturing to the UK, Colourfulblinds adds an addition to its machinery, investing in a roller blind table allowing us to manufacture a complete standard and motorized roller blind system allowing Colourfulblinds to offer many optional extras and allowing a customer to custom the blind and adapt it to their personal space.
2015 – We loved our time at our office on Barkby Road Leicester, however it was time to look again for a larger place to accommodate our growing machines, tooling and customer base, the work place got too small for the growth and we moved into a larger workshop in Queniborough, Leicester.
2017 – Home automation for blinds slowly entering the industry, an opportunity for Colourfulblinds to introduce to its customers, I was able to add motors to Vertical, Rollers, Romans, Venetian and Pleated, all assembled in-house.
2019 – Further investment on a digital cutting machine for all aluminium profiles. This year also saw a new market opening servicing the London 7 M25 area.
2024 – Today…This year will be very exciting for Colourfulblinds as we service
customers in the Luton & Milton Keynes area. I will also be updating our website with a fresh new look and also introducing our E-commerce platform, lots
happening and very excited to see the continuous growth over the years and the
aim to provide my customers a quality product and service at a competitive price.
